Step 1: Blizzard has but one interest, the furthing of the interests of Blizzard and the expansion of their revenue and profit margins.

Step 2: If it has to do with sales, understand that these are orders, not units sold.  TFT sales have been way off their promised marks so far.

Step 3: If it has to do with the release of a game, know that the dates are all going to be wrong.

Step 4: Blizzard will always try to quell and stop real inspiration when it could threaten their faux  monopoly on RTS games.  Real inspiration would be putting in sorts of anti-cheat code, but that would detract from the bottom line.  There's no money in stopping cheaters.

Step 5: If it is a patch they are announcing realize there will be always be "undocumented" features to allow you to be cheated right out of your wins.  Or in the case of Diablo, just straight up cheated on.

Step 6: Re-read step one, and make no mistake, Blizzard is owned by Vivendi, and this is all big money.  You buying their game doesn't mean anything to them.  Any single customer or single group of customers are worthless.
